Weather Safety Information for Bouncy Castle Hire

Your safety is our top priority - and that includes making sure our bouncy castles are only used in safe weather conditions. While inflatables are tons of fun, they can become dangerous if used outdoors in poor weather. That's why we strictly follow UK safety regulations and monitor the forecast before every hire. We use the MET office weather forecast as advised by our insurance company.

Important Weather Safety Guidelines

  • Maximum wind speed for use: Our bouncy castles must not be used in winds or gusts over 24 mph (38 km/h) - this includes sudden gusts. We use accurate wind meters to check this on the day if the hire is safe to go ahead.
  • No use in rain or storms: Wet inflatables can become slippery and unsafe. For everyone's safety, we won't set up in heavy rain, thunderstorms, or high winds.
  • We follow UK & EU safety standards: All our inflatables meet BS EN 14960 safety standards, and we follow guidance from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

⚠️ Why This Matters

  • Strong winds can lift or flip an inflatable, even when anchored, which can cause serious injuries.
  • Wet surfaces increase the risk of slips and falls.
  • Thunder and lightning create serious outdoor safety risks.

🔒 Your Safety, Our Promise

If the weather isn't safe on the day of your hire, we'll contact you as early as possible to discuss options. This might include rescheduling your booking or offering a refund if conditions are unsafe.

We know it's disappointing when weather gets in the way, but safety always comes first - especially when children are involved. If you have any questions or want to check weather plans for your date, just give us a shout! Text 07902225052
