Bouncy Castle Hire Terms and Conditions
1. Hirer's Responsibility: As the hirer, you are responsible for ensuring the safe use of the inflatable and taking all reasonable steps to prevent injury or damage. We recommend that you obtain your own liability insurance if you are concerned about the coverage provided by this contract. You must also ensure the following safety guidelines are strictly adhered to.
2. Safety Guidelines:
- Height Limit: Ensure that users are within the specified height limit for the inflatable. This limit can be found on the label of most units, on our website, or by asking the delivery driver upon arrival. Do not allow anyone exceeding the height limit to use the inflatable.
- Food, Drinks & Gum: No food, drinks, or gum should be consumed on or near the inflatable. These can cause choking hazards and damage to the unit. If the inflatable is returned in a dirty or damaged condition, the hirer will incur a cleaning and/or repair charge.
- Personal Items: All footwear, glasses, jewelry, badges, and any sharp objects must be removed before using the inflatable. Similarly, if the inflatable is returned in an unacceptable condition, additional cleaning or repair charges will apply.
- Prohibited Products: Face paint, party poppers, streamers, silly string, or ink-based products must not be used on or near the inflatable, as these can cause stains and damage. Any misuse will result in additional charges.
- Smoking & Cooking: Smoking and cooking equipment are strictly prohibited near the inflatable. Failure to comply will result in cleaning or repair charges.
- Climbing & Hanging: Climbing, sitting, or hanging on the inflatable's walls is dangerous and must be strictly avoided.
- Supervision: A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable at all times. The use of alcohol or any other substance by the hirer or supervisor is strictly prohibited.
- Overcrowding: Ensure the inflatable is not overcrowded. Limit the number of users based on their age and size. Avoid mixing large and small children on the same inflatable at the same time.
- Prevent Horseplay: Ensure children are not engaging in rough behavior such as pushing, colliding, fighting, or doing somersaults, as these actions can lead to injury.
- Breaks in Use: If the inflatable is not in use, ensure the blower is turned off at the mains.
- Safety Step: Do not allow users to bounce on the front safety step, as it could cause them to fall off and get injured. The step is there to assist users in getting on and off the inflatable.
- Health Restrictions: Children with back or neck problems, or those feeling unwell, should not use the inflatable.
- Inflation/Deflation: Never allow anyone to be on the inflatable during inflation or deflation, as this can be hazardous.
- Prohibited Items: No pets, toys, or sharp instruments should be brought onto or near the inflatable.
- Clothing: Ensure children are dressed appropriately and that no items can fall out of their pockets while on the inflatable.
- Clearance Area: Ensure there is a 6-foot (2-metre) clear space around the inflatable, and that the blower is at least 1.2 metre away from the inflatable.
- Blower Failure: In the event the blower stops working, ensure all users immediately get off the inflatable. Check the blower's safety reset button, fuses, and ensure no obstruction. If it overheats, turn off the blower, wait 1-2 minutes, then restart. If the issue persists, contact us immediately.
- Stakes/Securing: All stakes, pegs, or sandbags used to secure the inflatable must remain in place at all times. The inflatable must not be moved from its original setup location. If removal is required, please contact us.
3. Liability and Disclaimer
- Risk Acknowledgment: All users of the inflatable do so at their own risk. The hirer is responsible for any injury or damage resulting from misuse or reckless behavior.
- Hirer's Responsibility: The hirer is fully responsible for ensuring that these safety guidelines are followed at all times. The hirer will be liable for any damage to the inflatable or injury caused due to failure to comply with these terms.
- Company's Liability: Our company will not be held responsible for any injury caused to users of the inflatable.
4. Acknowledgment
By signing this agreement, the hirer confirms that they have read, understood, and accept the terms and conditions outlined above. The hirer acknowledges that they are fully responsible for the inflatable while in their care, and will be liable for any loss, damage, or additional cleaning costs incurred due to misuse or the inflatable being returned in an unacceptable condition (e.g., dirty or muddy). The hirer also confirms that they have checked with the operator to ensure the inflatable has been securely set up.
